A North East based Games studio are currently looking for a Lead Programmer to join their growing team. Founded by established industry experts, the team are made up of award-winning developers who have come from AAA backgrounds and have a history of releasing a range of high-quality games, some of which have been adored in the games industry.

They are looking for this individual to have high energy and passion for video games and constantly come up with new and innovative ideas to keep their player base engaged. Your core function will be to implement features to go into the games such as easy to use mechanics and slick gameplay, while mentoring/managing a small team. There are two exciting console projects to choose from as well, one is a brand-new title and the other an already existing multi-selling franchise! The development team sizes are around 4-12 developers, depending on project status.

The studio has a long-standing history in creating some of the best games on the market on console platforms. This role will have you working closely with the management team and will get involved with various aspects of development, which includes liaising with other department leads and mentoring, motivating and leading your own team.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years Programming experience
  • Past lead or mentoring experience
  • C++ experience
  • Unreal engine experience would be a bonus
  • Experience of Modding would be a bonus too!
